2017 - On October 27, 2017, 1000 people came together at the Universal Event Space in Vaughan for a most memorable evening, The 9th annual Hatsquerade Gala. Hosted by Hats On For Awareness, guests were asked to wear a hat to show their support for those living with mental illness and addiction. The evening’s Emcee was the Z 103.5’s Tony Monaco joined by DJ Danny D who mixed the beats. Canadian Acts Jully Black and Honeymoon Suite absolutely rocked the stage with their live performances!

2017 - I came to Canada at 5 yrs of age with my mother, father and sister. Within the first year of our arrival my brother was born. My grandmother lived with us untill I was 11. As a child I wanted to be a Canadian and ignore my Italian ethnicity. My name Vincenza became Vicki and I struggled with being accepted in the midst of mostly humiliating experiences with my classmates.

One of those people is Enza Tiberi-Checcchia.
